What to expect during our Sunday services

  • Service Liturgy

Every church has a service liturgy; it’s the way the service is ordered and structured. If you’re wondering what worship will be like or how you will be participating with us, you don’t have to guess. We provide our congregation with the liturgy in advance. Just click the “Sunday Liturgy” tab at the top of the page menu to see what you can expect in our time together.

  • Expository Preaching

We primarily preach through books of the Bible- verse by verse, chapter by chapter. We do this for a number of reasons:

    1. To explain the Bible in its own context.

    2. To show others how to study the Bible.

    3. To avoid the error of evading difficult Scriptures.

    4. To preach the whole counsel of God (2 Tim. 3:14-17).

    5. To demonstrate how every passage points to Christ (Luke 24:27).

So, plan to bring your Bible with you or we’ll gift you a copy if you don’t own one yet.

  • Family-Integrated Worship

We believe that across the pages of Scripture what is predominantly seen is that families worship together in a multi-generational setting: children with their parents and grandparents (Nehemiah 8:1-3, Deuteronomy 6:7-13, Exodus 10:9, Psalm 145:4). Although different churches approach discipleship in different ways, we believe that a family-integrated worship setting is the most biblically faithful context of corporate worship. So, plan to have your children sit in service with you! We provide coloring sheets and sermon guides to occupy your little ones during the service. There is also a playroom for children ages 0-4 in case they need a break or get their wiggles out.

  • Fellowship

Expect to stick around after service and connect with others in the congregation. The church is not a business, corporation, organization, or mere social club. The church is a family comprised of people in fellowship and relationship with one another. Plan on having some folks introduce themselves to you and try to get to know you more!
