The goal of this cleaning day is to completely revamp our downstairs space to be more conducive to what we’d like for it to accomplish. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

1.) We plan to convert the existing “family room” into a fellowship hall. This space will be used for pre and post service fellowship as well as church-wide meals and potlucks we will enjoy together for various events. It will be closed during the Sunday service time. As a “family-integrated” church, we want to equip and grow our church community by equipping parents to train their 5+ yr old children to learn how to sit through our Sunday worship services. Our effort to do this starts with situating the space downstairs appropriately.

2. We will be fully stocking a childcare room downstairs for children 4 and under. This will be a room where parents of little ones can take them in for a break or to get some of their energy out during service while still listening to the sermon on a live feed. This room will be updated with helpful and appropriate resources for children- think “matted obstacles”, “coloring materials”, “noise-free toys”, and a “floor mat” for crawling little humans.

We look forward to seeing these changes provide organization and clarity for the downstairs space and ultimately be a blessing to families.
